This was cropped from a single frame from a set of 32 I was taking to get a good view of the Milky Way (and shown on my whole-sky page). Because it is a single frame taken at a high ISO setting it is quite noisy.
The way the meteor crosses the Milky Way aiming just above Vega does make rather a good composition.
